About Content Services
Content Services provides scanning for inappropriate content (bad words or viruses) of locally delivered messages (FirstClass user to FirstClass user). It is used in conjuction with an external SMTP-based content/virus scanner, such as Sonic Wall, that does the actual scanning.
Clean messages are delivered to their recipients. If a message is deemed to have inappropriate content, an NDN is returned to the sender with an indication of why the message won't be delivered.

Configuring Content Services
To configure Content Services:
1       Configure the Content Scanner gateway.
After you install the Content Services component, you'll see a new gateway named Content Scanner. Set up this gateway as you would any other service gateway.
2       Update the Content Services Setup form in the Clustered Services/Content Services folder on the administrator's Desktop.

Activating Content Services
Content scanning is activated by group. To activate content scanning for a group, select "Content scanning" on the Services tab of the group's privileges form.

Managing Content Services
To monitor and manage Content Services, use the Content Services Monitor in the Content Services folder.
