Logging tab
Caution
Increasing logging levels may impact server performance. Logging should only be enabled when troubleshooting persistent system issues under the direction of customer support.
Choose the debugging information you want to display on the server console/console log file.
Indexing tab
This tab applies to the indexing of content to optimize searching.
Pause indexing |
Select what you want to pause. As soon as you tick one of these checkboxes, the relevant indexing is paused. To resume indexing, clear the checkbox. "Pause indexing" indexes all objects in the open queue. No new content or catchup data will be indexed. This is useful if there is a mail queue buildup or server delay. "Pause catchup of old content" indexes only new objects in the open
queue. This is useful if the system is very busy and indexing both new objects and catchup data fills the open item queue. |
Save Dictionary & Item Data |
Saves the dictionary and document files to disk. |
Save Forward Index |
Saves forward index data to disk. This permits FirstClass on restart to resume indexing where it left off. |
Free memory |
The server stores in memory all objects that have been indexed since the last server restart, plus all objects that have satisfied searches in that timeframe. To free up memory by flushing the objects that have not been used to satisfy searches, click Free Unsearched Details. To free up memory by flushing both the indexed and searched objects, click Free All Details. |
Rebuild forward index on restart |
Speeds up server shutdown by not saving the forward index. This index will be rebuilt at startup. |
